July 6, 2011 - Kasen Vincent turns 4. FOUR. I'm not too sure where the last FOUR years have gone, I only know that I can't get them back. Man, time flies!
He decided to start 4 out by sleeping in. Yes, it was shocking. No, unfortunately it was not a new trend he was setting. (Yes, he is sucking his thumb. Still.)
Once he was dressed, he got to open his presents from mommy & daddy!
Rotor, the Bionicle he's been asking for since he was introduced to Bionicles, and the Bionicle they no longer make. It was his birthday after all.
He also go a Lego City sticker book.
Of course he had to put Rotor together right away!

Now, back to his day... After a little breakfast, Kasen & daddy played Bionicle fight.
Then, we piled in the car for a trip to LEGOLAND (well, Legoland Discovery Center). Kasen played with his new Lego sticker book to kill time.
Waiting for our turn to enter Legoland.
Watching how Legos are made.
Waiting for the ride.
Look at those huge Legos!
He really enjoyed these.
Checking out the Lego models.
He was overwhelmed by the massive amount of people & Legos everywhere, but he found a few things he really liked. Like this:
He really just wanted to get over to the store, to spend his birthday money. He debated between Bionicles & Ninjago.
He went with Bionicles. Of course.
Lego Buzz!
Next stop was lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. It was a long wait, but Kasen was entertained by all the stuff in the store.
He really liked the alligator. Throwing money into his mouth was a good time killer.
Finally, food!
Since it was his birthday, I was easily talked into paying too much for a cup that lights up.
After lunch, we walked around Grapevine Mills for a while. Kasen found a Phineas & Ferb boogie board to spend the rest of his birthday money on.
Then, we got in the car, and he CRASHED.
Once we got back to our side of town, we surprised him with his last gift - a bike!
He got on this one & said the he wanted it because he really liked princesses. Then, he saw a blue one & changed his mind.
He got on & started riding right away, like he'd been doing it for years.
We ended up in another store though, where he found a cool orange Schwinn that even has hand brakes!
He told me he wanted to ride his new bike home. I compromised with a ride from the store to the car.
For his final treat of the day, we had frozen yogurt for dinner!!
Kasen chose vanilla (of course), birthday cake, & coconut yogurts, with gummi bears, iced animal cookies, blueberries, M&Ms, and 1 cherry, topped with chocolate & caramel.
He ate every bite.
We got home & let him ride his bike for a while.
Then daddy rode his bike too. ;)
We played outside until the sun went down. It was a perfect birthday!
Since I had one more day off from work, Kasen & I "camped" in the guestroom to finish off the day.
Happy FOURTH birthday Kasen!
