This week was a crazy, special week in our house. Daddy was away at a meeting half the week, so Kasen & I made the most of our time together. We had "slumber parties", cuddle time, play time, & lots of laughs. One evening, as we were sitting on the couch, Kasen felt the baby! I thought it was cooler than he did (daddy hasn't even felt the baby yet), but he was watching Ninjago at the time, so his priorities were towards it. ;) When I put him to bed that night though, after he gave me my hugs, kisses, & newts (nose "kisses", not the reptile), he kissed my belly/the baby & said "I love you baby, please love me too". My heart melted! I can't wait to see him be an awesome big brother!!
Kasen cuddling the baby. :) (Yes, I was in my pajamas in the middle of the afternoon - don't judge!)
I had the brilliant idea to take him to the Waffle House one night. Okay, I had a craving & he was along for the ride, but, I was still "smart" enough to allow a chocolate chip pancake with syrup as his dinner. Silly mommy!
Thursday I stayed home to hang out with Kasen since, unfortunately, all the grandparents were quite sick. We headed over to The Life House for lunch. Super yummy lunch! We were going to go to the park afterwards to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather, but someone had a bit of a meltdown, so we took naps instead.
That afternoon we got out & enjoyed the weather. It was lovely! (By the way, our house is for sale - would you like to buy it? Pleeeeease???)
The afternoon of outdoor fun also brought a wipe out on his bike, that ended the smiles. He was happy to get a cool bandaid though.
Saturday, we went to Brandon's (Trey's little brother) 3rd birthday party. Kasen & Trey had a wonderful time playing together.
Somehow, just like at Trey's 3rd birthday, Kasen ended up being the one in the ticket booth. He did a good job too, he held on tight to the 1,000 ticket coupon & wouldn't grab anything else. ha!
These 2 are so cute together, aren't they???
