This week was a crazy, special week in our house.  Daddy was away at a meeting half the week, so Kasen & I made the most of our time together.  We had "slumber parties", cuddle time, play time, & lots of laughs.  One evening, as we were sitting on the couch, Kasen felt the baby!  I thought it was cooler than he did (daddy hasn't even felt the baby yet), but he was watching Ninjago at the time, so his priorities were towards it.  ;)  When I put him to bed that night though, after he gave me my hugs, kisses, & newts (nose "kisses", not the reptile), he kissed my belly/the baby & said "I love you baby, please love me too". My heart melted!  I can't wait to see him be an awesome big brother!!

Kasen cuddling the baby.  :)  (Yes, I was in my pajamas in the middle of the afternoon - don't judge!)
I had the brilliant idea to take him to the Waffle House one night.  Okay, I had a craving & he was along for the ride, but, I was still "smart" enough to allow a chocolate chip pancake with syrup as his dinner.  Silly mommy!
Thursday I stayed home to hang out with Kasen since, unfortunately, all the grandparents were quite sick.  We headed over to The Life House for lunch.  Super yummy lunch!  We were going to go to the park afterwards to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather, but someone had a bit of a meltdown, so we took naps instead.
That afternoon we got out & enjoyed the weather.  It was lovely!  (By the way, our house is for sale - would you like to buy it?  Pleeeeease???)
The afternoon of outdoor fun also brought a wipe out on his bike, that ended the smiles.  He was happy to get a cool bandaid though.
Saturday, we went to Brandon's (Trey's little brother) 3rd birthday party.  Kasen & Trey had a wonderful time playing together.
Somehow, just like at Trey's 3rd birthday, Kasen ended up being the one in the ticket booth.  He did a good  job too, he held on tight to the 1,000 ticket coupon & wouldn't grab anything else.  ha!
These 2 are so cute together, aren't they???

Beautiful Weather!

This week blessed us with some amazing weather!  So, we headed outside to enjoy it.

Aislyn joined Kasen for some fun!
 Aren't they cute?  ♥

Kasen got to a new level on Lego Star Wars...  or something like that??
 Just being silly.  :)

Week 1 of 2012/Week 18 of BB2 Growing

One week into 2012...  am I the only one still put 2011 on everything?  ;)
This week BB2 & I had a dr appt, and Kasen came along.  I thought he'd enjoy hearing the heartbeat, but the highlight for him was actually that mommy had to pee in a cup.  He was too busy yammering away to even hear the heartbeat I think.  One thing Kasen is not, is shy!  BB2 & I are absolutely fine & dandy.  We're both healthy & growing right on track.

Here's what Kasen spent as much time as he could talk us into doing this weekend:
(Yep, Lego Star Wars.)
Of course we had to get a little learning time snuck in.  He did the addition & wrote the answers out all by himself.  Addition & subtraction come pretty easy for him.  Lucky kid!  ;)  (We do need to work a bit on those "9"s, huh?)
Finishing it off with mommy & BB2 at 18 weeks (after a run, hence the crazy colored shirt).

2012 - It's Gonna Be OUR Year!

My #1 resolution this year?  To stay on track with this blog!!
2011 is gone.  Wow.  It was a fun year, full of snow, father/son & gpa/father/son camping, & a gma/mom/son trip to the beach/ocean.  There was also the little car vs horse incident, a visit from the Danes, Helen's first half marathon, & the exciting news of baby #2.  The year went so fast, but it was so much fun!
2012 is going to be our year!  So many hopes & dreams are going to be fulfilled & I'm sure there are lots of crazy unknown things in store for us too.  It's going to be a hard year, full of new challenges & bittersweet moments, but we are so ready to live out the dreams we've had since the day we met.
While I can't officially share all the good things to come, I can say knowing that our family growing to FOUR in June (or May perhaps?)  is something all 3 of us are looking forward to.  Kasen keeps talking about "when my baby gets here", which I think is so cute.  He's very excited about what's to come...  hopefully he'll continue to be excited!

We ended 2011 with a little visit from Papa Wayne.  Golf, pizza, & playtime - a perfect end in Kasen's books!

The rest of the New Year's weekend was mostly spent hanging out at home, relaxing.  Kasen spent a lot of time doing his favorite things - playing Legos, dressing up in costumes, playing games, and wrestling with daddy.
