Fishing Boys

I'm sure since the moment Kasen came into this world & was declared a boy, Luke has been anticipating weekends like this one. Fishing! Fishing, golf, dirt bikes... all reasons he so badly wanted a boy (although girls can enjoy those things too, don't get me wrong).

Saturday morning Luke headed out with his friend Nick & did some fishing while Kasen & I hung out at home.

Luke actually had a decent sized catch that morning, see?:

Sunday morning, Luke was ready to go fish some more & Kasen & I were more than happy to get out of the house. So, off to a local park we went, fishing poles in hand.

Isn't is just a sweet thing to see a boy & his daddy doing "guy" stuff?

While Kasen & I were off feeding ducks, Luke caught one. Not a very big one, but it still counts as a catch.
Then there was more casting, reeling, & waiting...

Look, it's another small one. -Still, a catch is a catch. (Yeah, there's a fish there in Luke's hands - look closely.)

Kasen has the attention span of a 2 year old though, so he & I headed off for some adventures in the "forest" while daddy fished in peace.
